Welcome to Elementary
Lakes Church Academy is passionate about Building Champions for Christ, by providing a Biblical worldview in a Christ-centered environment. The early years of a student are formative in instilling biblical truth that will allow them to grow as a learner. Our prayer for students is to see them ROAR: Respect Others, Obey God’s Word, Always Show Thanks, Reflect Jesus.
Core Classes
Bible, reading, phonics, writing, math, science, and social studies
Inside the Classroom
Our skilled teachers, use the curriculum as well as many other practices to allow students to attain mastery in subject areas. They use a variety of hands-on activities, cooperative learning, small group instruction and thematic units. We believe students learn best when provided a nurturing environment. Our teachers work hard to create classroom communities that are engaging and allow students to try new things, take risks and get support when needed. We believe in the importance of teacher/student interaction, but also find the importance of technology to enhance instruction, all while learning digital responsibility. Students have access to iPads for use in the classroom to reinforce concepts, support learning, and research information. All classrooms have a Smart Board allowing the teachers to model instruction, display resources, and provide engaging ways to involve the students as learners.

Middle School
Welcome to Middle School
We love middle school! Middle school is the time when our students learn to build friendships and discover their God-given potential. If you are looking for a middle school where your child will grow in a close-knit community, develop important life skills, and prepare for the rigors of high school, you have come to the right place. Lakes Church Academy believes that middle school is much more than a transitional time to “get through”. It is a season of growth wherein students strengthen their foundations for learning and thrive spiritually as their faith is deepened.
Caring Faculty
Our teachers and staff act as mentors to students, helping them navigate tough questions about the world and develop a biblical worldview. Our middle schoolers enjoy a positive culture where they can feel safe, have fun, and flourish. Our middle school program is designed to support and engage students by helping them to pursue academic excellence while adapting socially and growing spiritually.
What Can I Expect in Middle School?
We strive to provide a school with an environment where students…
… will feel seen, heard and valued.
…can discover their true identity in Christ.
…discover God-given purpose.
…learn how to self-advocate
…distinguish their strengths
…identify personal interests
…discover some of the many opportunities their future could hold.
At Lakes Church Academy, families don’t need to choose between an outstanding education with exciting electives or a healthy environment where their child is known, seen, and heard.
We are pleased to offer all of these things because we understand how they shape students into confident individuals as they prepare for high school and what comes next. Friendships, expert faculty, a rigorous curriculum, and intentional discipleship all foster the most important things you could give your child: a strong start in life, an excellent education, and a desire to impact the world for God’s glory.
Safe Spaces to Learn and Grow
Students in middle school crave a sense of community and safe spaces to be their unique selves. At Lakes Church Academy, we provide a culture of kindness where teachers model intentionality and students learn to communicate purposefully.
On our campus this is done through emphasizing respect, building authentic relationships, and faith formation.
Laying the Foundations for Academic Success
Mathematics: Multiple math offerings are available in each grade level. Accelerated math students may be eligible to take Pre-Algebra in seventh grade and Algebra 1 in eighth grade.
Science: The middle school science program focuses on hands-on learning in sixth grade with a general study of science. Students may enter the engineering/physics track or the healthcare sciences track beginning in the seventh grade.
English: Students focus on grammar, developing writing skills, reading, and public speaking. Students will have the opportunity to prepare a speech and present it at our annual fine arts competition.
Social Studies: In sixth grade, students focus on ancient countries and cultures. In seventh grade, they study world history, followed by American republic studies in the eighth grade.
Bible: Middle school students attend Bible class or chapel daily. We encourage our students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to begin to make their faith their own. We help students recognize that their identity is in Christ; the One who created them, loves them, and gives them purpose.
Developing Talents and Building Community
In addition to these core classes, students take a variety of enrichment and elective classes. All middle school students enjoy our enrichment classes which include P.E., art, chorus, and typing skills. Elective classes offered each quarter include coding, robotics, handbells, and band.
Clubs and Activities:
Athletic Teams – Middle school team programs that are planned to begin over the next couple of sports’ seasons include cross country, volleyball, and basketball.
Praise & Worship – A team of middle school students helps with leading the praise music for our school’s weekly chapels.
Speech, Drama, & Music – Students are invited to participate in our yearly fine arts competition as well as audition for a variety of speaking roles and dramatic performances offered throughout the year.
Service Projects – Middle school students enjoy serving the community and sharing their faith throughout the year in various capacities.
Cultivating Their Emerging Gifts
LCA students stand out from their peers because we:
Encourage Goal Setting. Your child will be motivated to set and achieve goals, through daily or unit-based learning targets. Core subjects including math, language arts, science, and social studies inspire students to answer and ask essential questions that fosters depth in learning.
Develop Critical Thinking. We foster critical thinking skills through a wide range of activities, from question- and – answer sessions with teachers to projects and small group collaboration. Whether it’s creating a diagram on plant life, sharing thoughts about classic literature within a small group, or writing an opinion essay, your child will be led to understanding the subject matter in meaningful ways.
Mindfully Use Technology. Lakes Church Academy is a place where students learn to utilize technology in purposeful ways. Middle schoolers have access to one -on- one devices for accessing digital resources, with a filtering system that blocks inappropriate content. In addition, our students are required to take a Digital Literacy course, equipping them with knowledge and tools to use technology safely and responsibly.
Emphasize Autonomy. For middle schoolers to learn independence, they must also exercise the acceptance of responsibility. Here at LCA, we allow students to face the consequences of their actions while giving them grace-filled opportunities to think about the power of choice. Aside from intentional mentorship and counseling, we implement policies on late assignments and completing class requirements to help students stay accountable in their learning.
High School
Lakes Church Academy is excited to announce the opening of a High School beginning in Fall 2025.
We will offer 9th and 10th grades for the 2025-26 school year, with plans to add a grade each subsequent year. This will allow next year’s sophomores to be the first graduating class of LCA (Class of 2028).
LCA is committed to a curriculum taught from a biblical perspective. Most of our textbooks are sourced from publishers that uphold a biblical worldview.
All LCA teachers are either state-certified, ACSI-certified, or in the process of obtaining certification. They hold degrees in education or related fields.
Classes will be held in shared church classrooms located near the current middle school.
LCA high school will provide an in-person experience, with live teachers delivering face-to-face instruction.
We will offer a variety of fine arts programs and electives across different subjects. Extracurricular activities will include fine arts, clubs, and leadership training opportunities.
Tuition is currently being established, with final rates set to be announced by December 1. Financial information will be available on the admissions page of our website.
We plan to add sports as our student population grows and suitable athletic facilities are developed. Initially, we aim to offer individual participation sports, such as cross country and golf.
Registration for new families will open on December 1. We anticipate spots filling quickly, so we encourage early applications.
You can find the application process in the admissions section of our website, where you can request more information, schedule a tour, or complete your application.
